Project Data Consulting
“Data resembles jigsaw puzzle pieces, each contributing to the whole and when correctly pieced together reveals a coherent picture.”
Who We Are
Project Data Consulting is established on a strong foundation in project controls and project management principles. Our objective is to provide projects with effective visualisations and analytics so that project teams are kept informed of project performance and where necessary make informed decisions to achieve on time and on budget delivery.
We believe in using straightforward and powerful dashboards to tell the story of project data in a clear and impactful way.
Data Dilemma
Data-driven decisions are pivotal in project controls and project management, yet the hurdles lie in the fragmented data sources and their varying formats. Transforming this data into actionable insights is crucial, but not without significant time and effort challenges.
Misinformation
Misinformation carries a greater risk of resulting in project mismanagement. It stems from lack of clarity in interpreting large project data which in turn prevents a project from leveraging data in project delivery and from making informed decisions.
Solutions we offer
Microsoft Power BI is an effective data visualisation and analytic tool where it empowers projects to transform disparate raw data into actionable insights through interactive reports and dashboards. It is an indispensable asset for any company seeking to unlock the full potential of their project data.
Services we offer
We understand that every project is unique. We work closely with each client to provide customised solutions that meet their specific needs be it cost, schedule, change, risk, forecast analysis at feasibility, FEED, execution, commissioning or decommissioning phase.

The following videos showcase some simplified illustrations of integrating project data with visualisation and analytics.
Scenario:
Green Hydrogen At Scale
Data source:
Primavera P6 Schedule (data used is for illustrative purposes only)
This presentation demonstrates the effective use of infographics in project controls for a large-scale green hydrogen plant construction project. Through interactive 3D visualisations, the project team can track progress, performance, and variances, enabling prompt identification and mitigation of potential delays. Key KPIs provide a comprehensive overview of project momentum, capturing key metrics such as WBS floats, construction completion, and monthly changes. By leveraging these visualisations, the team can make informed decisions, optimise recovery opportunities, and ensure successful project delivery.
Scenario:
Battery Storage Energy Park
Data source:
Primavera P6 Schedule (data used is for illustrative purposes only)
The construction of a battery storage energy park employs infographics to convey essential details regarding project progression, performance, and crucial insights. These visual representations translate scheduling data into easily recognizable key infrastructures, facilitating comprehension of project status for all stakeholders.
Scenario:
Suburban Transportation Network
Data source:
Schedule (data is only for illustration purposes)
Weekly or monthly construction schedule updates the network map and indicates the progress of construction work incorporating colours to display level of progress status.
Scenario:
Offshore Wind Farm
Data source:
Schedule (data used is for illustrative purposes only)
Weekly construction schedules provide key project performance indicators and are further enhanced with the use of asset map and visual representations. The use of vivid visuals including colour coded elements, improve the effectiveness of communicating the construction work progress, providing stakeholders with a clear and easily interpretable snapshot of the project status.
Scenario:
Construction of a wastewater treatment plant
Data source:
Cost data and schedule (data is only for illustration purposes)
Project data is used to present a visualisation of a wastewater treatment plant with traffic light colour to indicate different stages of completion. The status of each plant can be individually interrogated.
Scenario:
Green Energy Hydrogen Plant
Data source:
Cost data and schedule (data used is for illustrative purposes only)
The dashboard incorporates visual representation of the project namely a wind farm, a solar farm and a hydrogen processing plant. The progress of each asset is colour coded drawing from the percent complete information in the monthly schedules. Users can easily access additional insights through the use of tooltips, providing a better and detailed knowledge of project performances. The dashboard also provide a more comprehensive assessment by grouping the project performance indicators into site, area and asset level in order to empower stakeholders with thorough grasp of the project overall status.
Scenario:
Construction of a small pavilion with 4D BIM
Data source:
Schedule and procurement data (data is only for illustration purposes)
The BIM models shows progression of the construction as and when construction schedule data is updated. BIM provides a useful and beneficial visual cue to projects. Besides construction progress, procurement status can also be reported based on criticality (critical or near critical). The BIM model can show which areas of a plant or building that are impacted by late material delivery for instance.
